Privacy Policy

How we handle listing data, Gateway usage, payments, wallets, and support communications.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Entropy Index (operator of Cleared Index) ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use Cleared Index websites, APIs, listings, Gateway, portal, and related services (the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. Information We Collect

  • • Account and listing data: operator name, contact email, origin URLs, endpoint metadata, manifests, and descriptions you submit.
  • • Payment data: billing is processed by Stripe or on-chain USDC flows; we receive confirmation metadata, not full card numbers.
  • • Usage data: API calls, Gateway routing fingerprints (hashed agent identifiers), check/certify requests, rate limits, and analytics events.
  • • First-party site analytics: page paths, referrers, UTM parameters, device/browser hints, coarse geo and ASN (when provided by the host), scroll/section/CTA interaction events, and anonymous visitor/session identifiers. IP addresses are stored only as salted hashes (not raw). We do not record mouse trails or session replays, and we do not sell this data or use third-party advertising trackers.
  • • Wallet and token data: wallet addresses you provide for $AEO, role purchases, or on-chain features.
  • • Communications: support emails and operational notifications.
  • • Technical data: IP address (hashed for analytics), user agent, timestamps, and standard server logs.

3. How We Use Information

  • • Operate listings, attestation, Gateway routing, portal access, and billing.
  • • Prevent abuse, enforce rate limits, and maintain platform integrity.
  • • Send transactional email (listing confirmations, claim links, billing receipts).
  • • Improve Services, publish aggregate statistics, and maintain public indexes (cleared.txt, cleared.json).
  • • Comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and protect rights and safety.

4. Sharing

Listing information you submit is published in the Cleared Index for agent discovery unless marked private by a paid feature that explicitly provides privacy.

We use service providers (hosting, database, email, payments, analytics) under contractual confidentiality obligations.

We may disclose information if required by law or to prevent fraud, abuse, or harm.

We do not sell personal information as defined by applicable privacy laws.

5. Retention

We retain listing, attestation, Gateway usage, and billing records as long as needed to operate the Services, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.

You may request deletion of operator contact data where applicable; public index artifacts may persist in caches or third-party copies outside our control.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You may update listing details via the portal or support. You may opt out of non-essential marketing email via unsubscribe links.

Depending on jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port personal data. Contact us via the Platform support page.

7. Security

We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the Services, but no system is perfectly secure. You are responsible for securing your wallets, API keys, and account credentials.

8. International Users

If you access the Services from outside the United States, you consent to processing in the United States and other countries where our providers operate.

9. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
